Senior Quality Automation Engineer (Hybrid, Cubao)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Automation Engineer with strong software testing fundamentals, automation experience, and practical exposure to AI-assisted workflows. The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of quality assurance principles, test automation frameworks, and modern AI tools that support software development and testing activities throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

This role requires someone who can independently assess testing requirements, identify risks, design effective test strategies, and leverage AI technologies to improve testing efficiency, documentation, and analysis.

Key Accountabilities

Quality Assurance & Testing

• Develop comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and test cases based on business and technical requirements.

• Perform smoke testing, regression testing, end-to-end testing, and user acceptance support activities.

• Identify system dependencies and assess potential impacts of application changes.

• Validate environment readiness and ensure testing environments are available and properly configured.

• Manage and prepare test data required for functional and non-functional testing activities.

• Participate in release readiness reviews and provide risk assessments prior to production deployment.

• Document test results, defects, and quality metrics.

Test Automation

• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright.

• Improve automation coverage and testing efficiency across multiple applications.

• Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure testability of new features.

• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.

• AI-Assisted Quality Engineering

• Utilize AI tools and large language models (LLMs) to support QA activities and workflow optimization.

• Apply prompt-driven approaches to improve test design, test documentation, automation development, and defect analysis.

• Leverage AI technologies to enhance productivity throughout the SDLC.

• Contribute to the adoption of AI-assisted quality engineering practices within the team.

• Stay updated on emerging AI technologies and industry trends relevant to software quality assurance.

AI-Assisted Quality Engineering

• Utilize AI tools and large language models (LLMs) to support QA activities and workflow optimization.

• Apply prompt-driven approaches to improve test design, test documentation, automation development, and defect analysis.

• Leverage AI technologies to enhance productivity throughout the SDLC.

• Contribute to the adoption of AI-assisted quality engineering practices within the team.

• Stay updated on emerging AI technologies and industry trends relevant to software quality assurance.

Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

• Proven experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing.

• Strong understanding of:

• Hands-on experience with Playwright test automation.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

• Preferred Qualifications

• Practical experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar Large Language Models.

• Understanding of prompt engineering and prompt-driven workflows.

• Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and AI-assisted development practices.

• Knowledge of:

• Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)

• Business Requirements Documents (BRD)

• Markdown (MD) documentation

• Experience using AI to support:

• Test Design

• Test Automation

• Documentation Creation

• Defect Analysis

• Quality Reporting

• Awareness of current trends in AI-enabled software testing and quality engineering.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.

• Experience with API testing and performance testing.

• Knowledge of AI-assisted software development workflows.

• Familiarity with emerging AI-powered testing platforms and tools.
